Joel W. Habberstad
Mr. Habberstad joins Jones, Skelton & Hochuli as an
Associate, where he will focus his practice on transportation and general
liability defense. Mr. Habberstad grew up in The Dalles, Oregon, a small town
on the eastern end of the Columbia River Gorge. He attended Washington State
University where he received degrees in Finance and Risk Management. Mr.
Habberstad was a sales professional in the financial services industry prior to
attending law school at Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College
of Law. While in law school, he was a legal extern for the United States
Attorney’s office, District of Arizona and the honorable Judge Orozco of the
Arizona Court of Appeals.
Mr. Habberstad held a number of interesting positions
prior to joining the firm, including his time as a white water rafting guide in
Oregon and a Bering Sea commercial fisherman based out of Dutch Harbor, Alaska.
Fortunately, he no longer has to fish for a living and is now a purely
recreational fisherman. Mr. Habberstad also enjoys hunting, skydiving, and
snowboarding when he is not in the office.
