The firm wishes our long-time partner, Jay Rosenthal, congratulations on his retirement, effective June 30, 2020.

Jay earned his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law and his B.A. in Political Science from the University of New York at Binghamton. In 1993, Jay joined JSH. Throughout his 38+ years of practice, he represented clients, including publicly traded corporations, in the areas of commercial litigation, catastrophic injury, tort, construction defect, products liability and insurance defense. Martindale-Hubbell recognized Jay’s commitment to exceptional client service by awarding him an AV-Preeminent rating, the highest peer rating available for professional excellence, communication skills and ethical standards. During a 15-year period, Jay was recognized by Best Lawyers in America and Southwest Super Lawyers.

Jay has been involved in numerous professional and civic organizations, including the American Bar Association and State Bars of Arizona, New York, New Jersey and D.C. He also served as a Superior Court Judge Pro Tem. Jay’s civic commitments include serving as Board Member of the Scottsdale Unified School District’s Self Insurance Retention Trust, Kivel Campus of Care, Temple Chai and an adult special needs group home.
