The Governmental Liability Group specializes in representing the State, counties, municipalities and school districts throughout Arizona. Collectively, our lawyers have well over 200 years of experience in defending claims of excessive use of force by law enforcement; claims of discrimination based on race, gender, religion, disability, age, including Title VII litigation and lawsuits arising from the ADA, FMLA and FLSA and have handled hundreds of 42 U.S.C. §1983 cases involving civil rights issues.

Our lawyers also represent educational institutions including public and private K-12 schools and their boards, colleges and universities, and special education institutions throughout Arizona. We have substantial experience in all types of employment and personnel related matters for educational institutions. We perform employment audits for school districts and recommend employment procedures. We also provide counsel in the areas of student disciplinary actions, advising governing boards on school policies and procedures, and statutory compliance.
