Arcangelo Cella brings a wealth of experience to Jones, Skelton & Hochuli’s appellate group. Arcangelo works closely with JSH trial attorneys to assist with critical motions, and provides guidance from the pleading stage through the trial and post-trial stages in state and federal courts. Arcangelo’s practice includes insurance defense and bad faith, medical and legal malpractice, civil rights, governmental liability, product liability, school law, and wrongful death and personal injury.

First licensed in Massachusetts in 2014, Arcangelo spent over four years as an associate at a large law firm practicing corporate and securities litigation. Arcangelo then served as law clerk to the Honorable Elspeth B. Cypher of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court (2021-2022) and to the Honorable Ariane D. Vuono of the Massachusetts Appeals Court (2019-2021). Throughout his career, Arcangelo has handled a diverse array of civil cases at various stages, involving topics such as fraud, zoning, regulatory enforcement, and civil rights.

Arcangelo studied at Boston University, earning his B.A. and M.A. in Classical Studies. As an undergraduate, Arcangelo helped to found the Boston University chapter of Delta Lambda Phi, a fraternity for queer men. He went on to receive his J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where he was an editor of the American Journal of Law & Medicine and vice president of OutLaw, the school’s LGBTQ student association.

In his spare time, Arcangelo enjoys working out, hiking, and cooking.
