With a background in civil and commercial litigation, Ashley Cook is a valued member of our General Liability Trial Group, handling personal injury defense, insurance defense, coverage matters, and medical malpractice cases.

Before joining the firm, Ashley gained experience at a civil- and trial-focused firm and a bankruptcy firm, both based in Albuquerque, giving her deep ties in the area. There, she learned how to handle all aspects of litigation and corporate work. Ashley also represented financial and lending institutions in all aspects of operations as well as assisting individuals and businesses with bankruptcy proceedings.

While attending the University of New Mexico School of Law, Ashley worked for a solo practitioner, where she developed a strong client-focused approach to law. She also clerked for the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of International Affairs, where she assisted in high-profile extraditions and assisting domestic and foreign governments with evidence gathering. Ashley also served as an Associate Editor of the Natural Resources Journal, a team member on the Hispanic National Bar Association Moot Court Competition Team, and as the Co-President of the Environmental Law Society.

In her free time, Ashley enjoys reading, spending time with her friends and family, knitting, and solo traveling.
