Introducing Branigan, a dedicated new associate in our Utah office, bringing a wealth of experience and a strong foundation in criminal justice to our team. He graduated from Emory University School of Law in 2023, following his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Weber State University in 2016.

Before venturing into the legal field, Branigan gained practical knowledge as a Corrections Officer at the Utah Department of Corrections and later as a Probation Agent for Utah Adult Probation and Parole. These experiences provided him with a firsthand understanding of the criminal justice system and instilled in him a deep appreciation for the challenges individuals face, shaping his commitment to compassion and moral responsibility.

During his time at Emory Law, Branigan excelled as the Notes & Comments Editor for the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal, showcasing his keen analytical skills and attention to detail. He further expanded his legal knowledge by working in Land Use at a mid-sized law firm in Denver and clerking for the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office.

As a research assistant at Emory University, Branigan demonstrated his commitment to academic excellence and contributed valuable insights to the legal field of Vulnerability Theory. His diverse background and proficiency in criminal justice make him a valuable addition to our team, poised to provide strategic support and exceptional service to our clients.

Branigan’s life centers around his wife and two children. In addition to being fluent in Spanish, he enjoys engaging with philosophy, neuroscience, and effective altruism, which influence his approach to life and law.
