Mark works in the firm’s transportation, auto and products liability group. Before joining JSH, he gained legal experience as a law clerk at the Office of the Maricopa County Public Defender, as an extern for the Office of the Arizona State Legislative Counsel, and as a clinician in the Maricopa County Public Defender Clinic. Additionally, Mark had the honor of externing with Judges Ronda Fisk and Pamela Svoboda in Maricopa County Superior Court.
While in law school, Mark served as President of the ASU Law Moot Court Board, co-founded the ASU Law Government and Public Interest Law Students Association, and co-founded MAJORS|AZ (Management, Advocacy, Jurisprudence, Opportunity, Relationships, and Systems of Arizona Law and Policy). He was part of a trial advocacy team honorably mentioned by the National Trial Advocacy Competition, finished top 5 in the Oplinger Oral Argument Competition, and was a three-time finalist in the Jenckes Oral Argument Competition. Mark also served as a contributing author to the 2019 Interstate Commission for Adult Offender Supervision Bench Book.
Mark earned his B.A. in Political Science and International Relations, with a Minor in Spanish Language, and certificates in National Security Studies and Latin American Studies. As part of his studies, Mark was accepted into a study abroad program at the Universidad de San Francisco in Quito, Ecuador. Also during his undergraduate studies, Mark served as Director of the Model United Nation program and elevated the program to a ranking of 5th in the nation.
Outside the firm, Mark enjoys hiking, exploring Arizona trails on his dual-sport motorcycle, and small goal and indoor soccer.
