Upon graduation from nursing school, Teaunee began working as a registered nurse at Hospice of the Valley (HOV) where she cared for both Palliative Care and Hospice patients; she also cared for pediatric patients at HOV’s pediatric facility Ryan House, and discovered she particularly enjoyed working with pediatric patients and their families. She then worked at Phoenix Children’s Hospital in the Emergency Department where she learned the skills necessary in caring for patients requiring immediate procedural intervention. Teaunee spent the next eight years in the Operating Room specializing in Neurosurgery, Orthopedic and Sports Medicine, and Reconstructive procedures at both outpatient surgery centers as well as Level 1 Trauma Hospitals. In her free time she enjoys backpacking and hiking, yoga, reading and watching sports with family and friends. She has been married to her husband for 11 years, has a one-year-old son and one crazy rescue dog. Also, she is a big Florida Gators and Las Vegas Raiders fan!
