JSH partner Michael Ludwig authored the Arizona chapter of USLAW NETWORK’s COVID-19 General Liability Quick Guide Compendium of Law. This multi-state resource addresses general liability considerations in light of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. The Quick Guide includes information on statute of limitations, negligence, standard of care, causation, premises liability, violation of statute/executive orders as evidence of negligence, contributory negligence, assumption of the risk, statutory cap on non-economic damages, death cases, and punitive damages, plus best practices for avoiding/reducing future liability for COVID-19 claims.

Written by USLAW NETWORK member attorneys, the 34-state compendium takes advantage of local knowledge and experience in each of the jurisdictions in which USLAW firms practice.

In addition to the COVID-19 General Liability Quick Guide Compendium, USLAW regularly produces new and updates existing Compendiums, which are easily sourced on a state-by-state basis and are developed by the member firms of USLAW. Current Compendiums include Force Majeure (during COVID-19 pandemic), Retail, Spoliation of Evidence, Transportation, Construction Law, Workers’ Compensation, Surveillance, Offer of Judgment, Employee Rights on Initial Medical Treatment, and many more. Visit USLAW’s website for a complete listing of current compendiums.

Michael Ludwig currently serves on USLAW’s Board of Directors and is a past Chair of USLAW’s Construction Practice Group. He represents developers, owners, subcontractors, design professionals and product manufacturers in matters involving construction defect, personal injury and wrongful death, premises liability, and professional liability.
