It is with deep sadness that Jones, Skelton & Hochuli announces the passing of Donald Myles, on June 8, 2026. Don was one of the most respected trial lawyers and alternative dispute resolution practitioners in Arizona, and his absence will be profoundly felt by his colleagues, clients, and the broader legal community.

Don was with JSH from our beginning in 1983. He spent his career producing exceptional legal work spanning insurance defense, bad faith, professional liability, products liability and general tort liability. He was a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, an Advocate member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and had been recognized by Chambers USA as a Band 1 lawyer in Insurance Law every year since 2019. He was a three-time Best Lawyers “Lawyer of the Year” and a Southwest Super Lawyers honoree in Alternative Dispute Resolution from 2012 through 2026.

Beyond his credentials, Don was a mentor, a trusted colleague, and a tireless advocate for the defense bar. He served as President of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, President of the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel, and President of the USLAW Network, among many other leadership roles.

Don is survived by his beloved wife, Doreen, his children Tommy, Mary (and her husband Hunter Curtis), and his granddaughter Kennedy.

The firm extends its deepest condolences to Doreen and the entire Myles family. Don’s legacy — in the courtroom, at the mediation table, and in the lives of those he mentored – will endure.
