A fourth-generation Phoenician and third-generation attorney, Ryan brings deep Arizona roots and extensive litigation expertise to his practice.

Ryan clerked for the firm during law school. He joined the firm full-time in 2000 and became a partner in 2006. He has been the firm’s hiring partner overseeing all lateral and new attorney hires since 2012, has served on the firm’s Management Committee since 2021, and is the past chair of the firm’s General Liability and Automobile Liability Defense Trial Group.

Ryan’s practice focuses on representing clients in complex litigation matters, including personal injury and wrongful death, bad faith and extra-contractual liability, product liability, premises liability and automobile liability defense. His exceptional work has earned him recognition in The Best Lawyers in America® for personal injury litigation defense, product liability litigation defense, and insurance law.

Ryan and his wife Bonnie, a teacher, have two adult children. Their son works as a real estate development associate, and their daughter works for a university athletic department. An avid sports enthusiast, Ryan supports the Stanford Cardinal, University of Arizona Wildcats, and all Valley of the Sun professional teams. He enjoys spending time with his family, exploring new local coffee shops and restaurants, and traveling.
