Elizabeth focuses her practice on federal and state appellate matters. Over the course of her career, Elizabeth has built a reputation as a skilled appellate advocate, guiding clients through the complexities of the appeals process in civil disputes. In addition to her appellate practice, Elizabeth collaborates with trial counsel and assists with complex dispositive motions in various areas of civil litigation, including class action defense, governmental liability, bad faith and extra-contractual liability, insurance coverage, defamation, premises liability, and wrongful death and personal injury litigation.
After graduating from law school, Elizabeth honed her research and writing skills through a judicial clerkship for the Honorable Maurice Portley at the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division 1. She then worked for the Arizona Attorney General’s Office as an Assistant Attorney General for Criminal Appeals and was named the 2017 Emerging Star for the Solicitor General’s Office. Elizabeth has handled over 70 appeals, successfully arguing before the Arizona Court of Appeals and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
In her free time, Elizabeth stays active with her husband and children.
- Obtained dismissal on grounds of lack of jurisdiction for transportation client facing breach of contract claim.
- Successfully represented corporate client in obtaining negotiated permanent injunction protecting client’s confidential and proprietary business information.
- Represented State of Arizona in criminal appellate matters in both state and federal courts.
- Assisted clients in removal hearing and proceedings related to Special Immigrant Juvenile petitions under supervision of Immigration Clinic Professor.
