Jones, Skelton & Hochuli, PLC is pleased to announce that partner Gordon Lewis has been recognized in Az Business Magazine’s2020 Diverse Business Leaders to Watch. Gordon is one of 14 business leaders included in the March/April 2020 issue, and was previously recognized by the publication in 2018 as a Top 100 Lawyer in Arizona.
In addition to his law practice, Gordon dedicates a significant portion of his philanthropic efforts to the leadership development and empowerment of women and young ladies. Gordon became involved in the Girl Scouts of Arizona Cactus-Pine Council more than 15 years ago, when his two daughters were young members. He became a lifetime member and member of the Board of Directors in 2008, and since then he has served as an Executive Committee Member, Member-at-Large, and Secretary. In 2017, Gordon was honored with the nationally-recognized Thanks Badge, the highest honor in Girl Scouting awarded for leadership and service that has significantly impacted the goals and mission of the entire Council.
As a partner at JSH, Gordon represents public and private employers all manner of employment issues, policies and practices, including claims involving wrongful discharge, civil rights violations, FMLA, Unfair Labor Practices, wage and hour, and racial, sexual, age and disability discrimination. He also represents public employers in due process termination hearings, and assists in resolving claims relating to privacy rights, free speech, open meetings, public records, and employee due process.
