Jones, Skelton & Hochuli is pleased to welcome four law students to our 2019 Summer Clerk Program. Samantha Cote, Joshua Dunford, Kathryn Hunnicutt and Anne-Grace Reule are 2L law students at the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. During their summer clerkship at JSH, they will gain exposure to all of the firm’s of practice areas, learn about the day-to-day practice of law in the private sector, and observe trials, depositions, mediations and arbitrations. They will also attend firm-hosted professional development seminars, and get to know our attorneys and staff at various social events hosted throughout the summer.

Samantha Cote is a recipient of the Rob Carey Sports Law Scholarship at ASU. She serves as Secretary of the Liberty Project and is a member of the Arizona State Law Journal. Samantha obtained her B.S. in Sports Management, with a minor in Psychology, from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she was awarded the Glenn M. Wong Sports Law Scholarship. While pursuing her ungraduated degree, she worked at the Worcester District Attorney’s Office as a Juvenile Unit Intern, and with the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs – a Futures Collegiate Baseball League – as a Baseball Operations Intern. During her first year of law school, Samantha gained valuable experience as a volunteer with the Arizona Legal Center, an Alternative Dispute Resolution Extern at the City of Phoenix Prosecutor’s Office, and as an extern at the Maricopa County Public Defender’s Office. Samantha has a wide range of interests, including skiing, baseball, Krav Maga, solo road trips, and jigsaw puzzles.

Joshua Dunford is an honoree of the Dean’s Recruitment Award and a Willard H. Pedrick Scholar. He serves as an Associate Editor of the Sports and Entertainment Law Journal at ASU College of Law, and is a member of the Executive Moot Court Board Problem Drafting Committee. Joshua earned his B.S. in Communications from Brigham Young University, where he also served as President of the Prelaw Society, earned 1st Place in the Research and Creative Works Conference, and coordinated and hosted a support group for LGBT students. During his first year of law school, Joshua worked as an extern at the Arizona Court of Appeals to the Hon. Kenton D. Jones. While at BYU, he worked at the Family Crisis Center as a Peer Advocacy Program Coordinator. In his free time, Joshua works with various LGBT non-profits groups. He enjoys reading about politics, learning video production and photography,  and cruising Mexico cruises his wife, Joshua is proficient in Spanish.

Kathryn Hunnicutt is an active member in the Women Law Students’ Association and Arizona Women Lawyers Association. She earned her undergraduate degree in Marketing, with a minor in Spanish, from the University Of Arizona Eller College Of Management. In her final year, Kathryn studied abroad in idyllic Rome, completing courses in Macroeconomics and International Marketing for John Cabot University. Demonstrating her passion for leadership and social networking, Kathryn served as Social Chair Assistant for Chi Omega Sorority, and was a Social Committee Member for Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity. Before pursuing her law degree, Kathryn worked as Assistant Director at Primrose School of Ahwatukee, where she managed the day-to-day operations and marketing of this preeminent preschool. She enjoys scenic hiking – including an annual rim-to-rim hike of the Grand Canyon – and all forms of art, especially theatre, music and museums. Kathryn continues to expand her proficiency in Spanish, which she has studied for eight years.

Anne-Grace Reule serves as Associate Editor of the Jurimetrics Journal of Law, Science, and Technology at ASU. She works as a teaching assistant for the Legal Advocacy Writing Course, and earned the Excellence in Oral Advocacy Award for First-Year Legal Writing Course. Anne-Grace is the Vice President of the Moot Court Executive Board, and the recipient of the J. Windle Merit Scholarship at ASU. Her team earned 3rd Place in the Moot Court Jenckes’ Closing Argument Competition, and was a finalist in the Moot Court Client Counseling Competition. During her first year of law school, Anne-Grace worked as a summer law clerk at a Valley law firm and as a summer extern with the Arizona Justice Project. While pursuing her B.A., magna cum laude, in Political Science and Arabic Language from the University of South Florida, she worked as a legal assistant at an intellectual property law firm. She also won the Outstanding Leadership of Student Organization Award, served as President of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity, and as President of the Arabic Language Organization. In her free time, Anne-Grace volunteers for Bridging Freedom, an anti-human trafficking organization, and enjoys playing hockey and tennis, watching improve theatre, and playing team trivia.
