Jones, Skelton & Hochuli welcomes our three new Utah attorneys: Ruth Shapiro, Bryson Brown, and Adrienne Moss. Their depth and breadth of experience managing a variety of matters will be an asset to our firm and to the clients we serve.
Ruth Shapiro is part of the General Liability Trial Group. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in personal injury, wrongful death, transportation defense, product liability, employment, premises liability, professional liability, medical malpractice defense, and other general civil litigation matters.
Over nearly 30 years of practice, Ruth has developed a strong litigation record, averaging two trials per year and obtaining significant defense jury verdicts. She is a current member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Membership in ABOTA is by invitation only to trial attorneys who have demonstrated excellent trial skills while maintaining the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, honor, and courtesy. She has served as in-house counsel for a third-party administrator, and has worked with law firms in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Washington, D.C.
Prior to attending law school, Ruth played professional tennis. Now in her spare time she heads to the mountains to enjoy backcountry skiing, hiking, and backpacking.
Bryson Brown‘s practice focuses mainly on insurance defense and commercial litigation, but he also handles personal injury, constitutional rights, product liability, and professional liability matters. His clients include individuals as well as many local businesses and government agencies. A recent addition to the JSH General Liability Trial Group, Bryson’s experience and commitment make him an asset to the firm and those we serve.
Bryson clerked for Utah’s 4th District Court and the Utah Office of the Attorney General prior to his time in private practice. He received his J.D. from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah, where he served as the Note and Comment Editor for the Utah Environmental Law Review.
Adrienne Moss is joining our Salt Lake City office as part of the General Liability Trial Group. Her practice is focused on insurance, premises liability, product liability, and transportation defense matters, as well as other general civil litigation issues. She began her legal career in California and moved to Utah in 2019 to continue her practice.
Adrienne graduated from Southwestern Law School and received her bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California, San Diego.
In her spare time, Adrienne likes to travel and spend time with her husband and dog.
