Current Openings:
JSH’s Arizona office seeks a Paralegal Coordinator with law firm and paralegal experience to be responsible for coordinating the paralegals, legal nurse consultants, litigation technology paralegal, and related staff and for administering relevant firm policies/procedures/best practices.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate and provide input regarding interviewing, hiring, and orienting paralegals and related staff
- Assist the Director of Administration with financial and statistical analysis of profitability metrics for the paralegal and related staff
- Coordinate daily operations, including allocation of resources
- Monitor the productivity of the paralegals and related staff
- Coordinate training and mentoring programs for better performance and utilization of the paralegals and related staff
- Assist with strategic planning for paralegal and related staff
- Assist and support the paralegal and related staff with substantive and legal issues, including billing
- Coordinate and assist the Director of Administration with the annual evaluation process and implement performance improvement plans
- Assist the Director of Administration and Director of Human Resources in addressing personnel issues/dispute resolution as necessary
- Maintain professional relationships between attorneys and paralegal staff
- Maintain paralegal billing requirements as directed by the Director of Administration
Reporting Relationship
- Reports directly to: The Director of Administration
- Also works with: Director of Human Resources Director, Director of Finance, Director of Information Technology, Director of Office Services, Legal Support and Project Manager, Trial Group Leaders, Partners, Associates, Secretarial Staff, and Legal Support
- Coordinates: Directly and/or Indirectly – Paralegals, Legal Nurse Consultants, Litigation Technology Paralegal, case/project assistants, paralegal interns, other project-oriented personnel and temporary staff.
