Barry Berenberg joins our JSH office in New Mexico, where he will be supporting our partners with a mix of insurance defense work. Barry’s long term legal experience, including clerking for the Honorable Edward L. Chavez, then Chief Justice of the New Mexico Supreme Court, and representing school districts and state agencies, will help him provide expert assistance to our clients.

While attending the University of New Mexico School of Law (ranking first in his class upon graduation in 2007),  Barry was the co-managing editor of the New Mexico Law Review and helped to establish the UNM Medical-Legal Alliance for Children. He also holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Law is a second career for Barry, having worked for several years within the engineering/manufacturing field prior to going back to law school.

In his free time, Barry enjoys traveling with his family, hiking, cooking, juggling, and creative writing. He is working on getting his first novel published.
