Blake A. Hallock

Blake Hallock joins the firm as a member of its Transportation, Auto, Products & General Liability Defense Trial Group. He defends clients facing professional malpractice, construction defect, trucking and transportation liability, and employment discrimination.
With a deep understanding of civil litigation, Blake also has experience negotiating settlements – both directly and through mediation – and drafting mediation position statements, releases, waivers, and settlement agreements. He has experience authoring briefs and presenting oral arguments in Utah’s federal district court.
Prior to JSH, Blake served as a litigation associate at two different Utah-based law firms. In both of those roles, he assisted with trial preparation, including development of trial strategy, prepared witnesses, and drafted jury instructions and motions in limine.
At his first law firm, he prepared comprehensive case management reports for Walmart corporate counsel, encapsulating extensive fact investigation, liability assessment, and recommended litigation strategy.
In his spare time, Blake enjoys spending time with family, skiing, and playing chess.
