Catherine Folsom originally joined JSH as a 2024 spring clerk with our Healthcare Trial Group, returning in the fall after graduating from ASU’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. She began working as a clerk in our Phoenix office and then opted to relocate and was licensed in Utah, where she now practices in our South Jordan office. She handles a variety of matters, including medical malpractice defense, general civil litigation, insurance and third-party liability coverage, premises liability, and automobile liability defense.

Catherine earned her B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies from the University of Arkansas, where she was part of the Honors College and named to the Chancellor’s List and Dean’s List. She was a member of the Native American Student Association and the Pre-Law Society. She attended the American Indian Law Center’s Pre-Law Summer Institute following college graduation. While in law school, Catherine was selected as an Arizona Society of Healthcare Attorneys Scholar, was a Law, Science, and Innovation Center Scholar, a Health Law Society board member, and a member of The Law and Science Student Association,  which built her knowledge base and skill set in health law. She graduated with certificates in Health Law and Policy and Law, Science, and Technology.
