Christie Geter
Associate Attorney
New MexicoChristie Geter is a member of JSH’s Transportation Trial team. She currently focuses her practice in the area of insurance defense litigation, where she defends clients in trucking and transportation matters, general liability, wrongful death, and civil rights. Christie has experience arguing many cases in both criminal and civil courts, obtaining favorable decisions.
While attending law school at the University of Minnesota, Christie worked as a Certified Student Attorney at the Denver District Attorney’s Office and Minneapolis City Attorney’s Office. She served as Managing Director of the Civil Rights/Civil Liberties Moot Court, team member on the ABA Moot Court Competition Team, member of the Women’s Law Student Association, and staff member on Law and Inequality: A Journal of Theory and Practice.
Christie was awarded the 2020 Young Lawyer of the Year Award from the New Mexico Defense Lawyers Association. She is also a board member of the Albuquerque Bar Association and is currently serving as Secretary.
In her free time, Christie enjoys attending theatre and dance productions, traveling, practicing yoga, and snowboarding in the winter months.
