Devyn Nelson is an associate attorney in Jones, Skelton & Hochuli’s Phoenix office. His practice focuses on transportation, civil litigation and insurance defense matters.

Before joining JSH, Devyn gained experience working on a broad range of litigation matters, including employment law, transportation, professional liability, class actions, and general liability cases while serving as a law clerk and summer associate.

During law school, Devyn served as a judicial intern for Justice William G. Montgomery of the Arizona Supreme Court, where he researched complex legal issues and assisted in the drafting of legal memoranda and opinions. He also worked as a legal extern with the Arizona House of Representatives, providing research and analysis on legislative and constitutional matters.

Devyn earned his Juris Doctor from the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, focusing on Law, Science & Technology. While in law school, he served as Executive Editor of Jurimetrics, Vice President of the St. Thomas More Society, and Senior Fellow with the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project. He received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Employment Law.

Devyn received his bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, with a minor in Psychology, from North Dakota State University, graduating magna cum laude. He is admitted to practice law in Arizona.
