Joseph Barreras is a new associate with our Professional Liability and Bad Faith Trial Groups. Prior to joining JSH, Joey served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable James B. Morse Jr. at the Arizona Court of Appeals.

 While earning his J.D. cum laude from ASU’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, Joey was a member of the Corporate and Business Law Journal, and took advantage of multiple intern/extern opportunities, including working with the Federal Public Defender’s Office, the Arizona State Legislature (Senate Rules Committee), an Insurance Defense firm in Texas, and for Justice Montgomery at the Arizona Supreme Court. These opportunities strengthened his skills in drafting memoranda, preparing motions, and developing defense strategies. Joey’s undergraduate degree (Business & Communications) is also from ASU.

 In his free time, Joey enjoys wine tasting, road trips, hiking, and watching Denzel Washington films.
