With more than 35 years of experience specializing in civil litigation and insurance defense, Joseph Joyce has a well-earned reputation as a skilled trial attorney throughout the Intermountain West.

In his practice, he partners with clients in the insurance and transportation industries to resolve various liability claims and, if the need arises, defends them in court. This experience, including serving as lead counsel in more than 100 jury trials, allows Joe to successfully meet and exceed his client’s expectations.

After spending almost 20 years at one of Utah’s strongest corporate law firms, Joe founded his own insurance defense law firm, J. Joyce Law Firm, in 2006. He served as the firm’s managing partner for 15 years until his team joined JSH in 2022.

Joe previously served as president of the Utah Defense Lawyers Association and as the Utah state representative at the Defense Research Institute. He also served on the Utah Supreme Court and Utah Judicial Council Committee on Improving Jury Service.

He is licensed to practice law in Utah and Idaho.
