Kayla Bramwell, a former JSH summer associate, recently joined the firm as an associate in the Municipal and Employment Trial Group. She will be providing defense and risk management support for private and public companies, as well as government entities including cities, counties, the State of Arizona, and educational institutions.

Kayla earned her law degree at the ASU Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, where she served as the Associate Editor for the Law Journal for Social Justice, Vice President of the Black Law Students Association, Marketing Director for the Criminal Law Association, and a volunteer with the Arizona Legal Center. She graduated magna cum laude from Ohio State University with a B.A. in Psychology. There, she was President of the Alliance for Black Studies and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated.

Over the past several years, Kayla has interned with the Cook County (IL) State’s Attorney’s Office and two local Arizona law firms, as well as clerked for the Honorable Kristina Robinson Garrett in Detroit. She also spent a summer as a research assistant for Chicago Beyond.

Kayla enjoys crafting custom candles, spin classes, and exploring the Valley’s diverse food scene.
