Rachel Kaplan joins our General Liability Trial Group in the Phoenix office, where she will focus her practice on premises liability, auto liability, product liability, and other general civil litigation matters.

Rachel earned her J.D. from the ASU Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, where she received a certificate in Trial Advocacy and was inducted in the Order of Barristers. She was Co-Captain of the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court team, placing second at the United States West Nationals competition and individually placing as the thirteenth best oralist at the 2025 international competition. Rachel won the 2024 Criminal Justice Reform National Writing Competition, earned first place in the 2022 Allen Matheson Client Counseling Competition, and received a CALI Award for Legal Method & Writing. She served as the Co-President of the Jewish Law Student Association and as a Notes & Comments Editor for Jurimetrics: Journal of Law, Science, and Technology. Rachel graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science, Law, and Judaic Studies from the University of Arizona W.A. Franke Honors College. There, she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, University of Arizona Hillel, Pi Sigma Alpha (President), and the mock trial team, and she received the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona College Youth Award.

Rachel’s prior legal experience includes serving as a Legal Intern for the ACLU of Arizona, a Rule 39 Certified Limited Practice Student at the ASU Public Defender Clinic, and an intern at the Pima County Attorney’s Office.

Rachel enjoys traveling, concerts, and musical theatre.
