Ruth Shapiro recently joined our Salt Lake City office and is part of the General Liability Trial Group. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in personal injury, wrongful death, transportation defense, product liability, employment, premises liability, professional liability, medical malpractice defense, and other general civil litigation matters.

Over nearly 30 years of practice, Ruth has developed a strong litigation record, averaging two trials per year and obtaining significant defense jury verdicts. She is a current member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Membership in ABOTA is by invitation only to trial attorneys who have demonstrated excellent trial skills while maintaining the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, honor, and courtesy. She has served as in-house counsel for a third-party administrator, and has worked with law firms in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Washington, D.C.

Prior to attending law school, Ruth played professional tennis. Now in her spare time she heads to the mountains to enjoy backcountry skiing, hiking, and backpacking.
