Samuel Vasilopulos

Samuel Vasilopulos is an associate attorney in JSH’s Municipal & Employment Trial Group.
Before joining the firm, Sam served as a judicial law clerk to Justice Bolick of the Arizona Supreme Court, where he conducted extensive legal research, drafted bench memoranda, evaluated appellate issues, and assisted with the preparation of court opinions. He previously externed with the Illinois Office of the State’s Attorneys Appellate Prosecutor, helping to draft appellate briefing and research state law issues, and interned with both the Arizona Supreme Court Staff Attorneys’ Office and the Tucson City Court, where he supported judges and staff attorneys through legal research and memorandum drafting.
Sam earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from the Northern Illinois University College of Law, where he served as a Research Editor for the Law Review, Finance Officer of the Student Bar Association, and received the Law President’s Scholarship. He also completed the Originalism Summer Seminar at the Georgetown Center for the Constitution and studied international legal systems through the University of Bordeaux International Legal Studies Program. Sam earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Illinois. His published legal scholarship on Second Amendment jurisprudence was cited in an amici brief filed with the Supreme Court of the United States.
In his free time, Sam enjoys traveling both internationally and domestically, exploring National Parks, hiking, resistance training, and spending time with his dog, Sky.
