Spencer May is an associate attorney in JSH’s Construction/General Liability Trial Group.

Before joining the firm, Spencer served as a legal intern with a large homebuilder, where he supported contracts and risk management matters involving residential construction projects across multiple states. His experience included reviewing and executing agreements, conducting legal research on construction and employment-related issues, and assisting with land acquisition transactions. He also worked as an Entrepreneurial Fellow with Tech Launch Arizona, advising emerging companies on regulatory and compliance matters, and previously gained experience in estate planning and business development.

Spencer earned his J.D. from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, where he was awarded a full-tuition scholarship and was named to the Dean’s List. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from Brigham Young University.

Spencer is fluent in Cebuano, conversational in Tagalog, and hopes to learn Spanish. He is an accomplished endurance athlete, qualifying for the 2024 & 2025 USA Triathlon National Championships. Most recently, Spencer published his first book, Memorable Law Students, which provides students practical networking and career building strategies.
