Thomas W. Grimes
Associate Attorney
ArizonaThomas works in the transportation, auto, products and general liability trial group. Before graduating law school in 2020, Thomas gained valuable experience working as a 2020 summer law clerk at JSH.
While earning his J.D. at ASU Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, Thomas also earned his M.B.A at the W.P. Carey School of Business. In addition to his summer clerkship at JSH, Thomas worked as a legal intern at PING Golf, focusing primarily in the areas of intellectual property and patent law. He served as an Associate Editor of Jurimetrics, The Journal of Law, Science, and Technology, was the V.P. of Finance for the Student Bar Association from 2019-2020 and participated in the Jenckes Moot Court Competition.
Before law school, Thomas worked as a litigation paralegal at two San Diego law firms, where he focused in the areas of insurance defense, small business defense and employment law. After completing his undergraduate degree, he worked for four years at a worldwide energy company and was accepted into their drilling rig manager fast-track program.
When not in the office, Thomas enjoys hiking and taking day trips to explore different parts of Arizona. He’s an admitted sports nut. In addition to being a die-hard fan of the San Diego Padres, he competes in various softball leagues and disc golf leagues throughout the valley.
