Our firm is excited to announce the arrival of two law school students to our 2025 Summer Associate Program in the JSH Utah office. Lexi Burke and Neha Eqbal will work with multiple attorneys, manage research and writing projects, and observe hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations, while learning about the day-to-day practice of law in the private sector.

Alexis (Lexi) Burke recently completed her 2L year at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law. Her undergraduate degree in Health Policy and Administration is from Pennsylvania State University.

Last year, Lexi worked as an Advocate with the Rocky Mountain Innocence Center and did a Judicial Internship with Justice John Pearce at the Utah Supreme Court. She is a previous US National Team Member for speed skating, and currently serves on the Judicial Committee & Ethics Committee for US Speed Skating. Her additional interests include ultramarathons, traditional and sport climbing, hiking, and backpacking.

Neha Eqbal recently completed her 2L year at BYU Law School and is spending her summer break with JSH as a Summer Associate in our Utah office. An enthusiastic advocate for diversity and inclusion, Neha serves as the Vice President of BYU’s Black Law Students Association and is actively involved in groundbreaking research focusing on artificial intelligence regulation.

Neha brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective, holding an MBA in Analytics Intelligence from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut and a Bachelor’s in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Studio Art from Stony Brook University, New York.

With a diverse array of international legal experiences, Neha has previously interned and clerked at firms across Utah, Australia, and London. She speaks Urdu, Hindi, and Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys travelling the world and channeling her creativity into writing stories.
