Jones, Skelton & Hochuli partner Anne Holmgren successfully defended a complex medical battery action on behalf of a facility operated by one of the nation’s leading healthcare providers.   Plaintiff’s case involved the alleged performance of an epidural steroid injection without the patient’s informed consent.  Compensatory and punitive damages were sought.   Following the completion of Plaintiff’s case-in-chief, Mrs. Holmgren successfully presented and argued a motion for judgment as a matter of law.  The court granted the motion, dismissing Plaintiff’s case against our client in its entirety.
