Jones, Skelton & Hochuli, PLC is pleased to announce law clerk Jennifer Martin has passed her Arizona bar exams and been named an associate attorney at the firm.

Jennifer, who joins the firm’s Professional Liability, Bad Faith & Complex Litigation Defense Trial Group, first joined the firm as a summer law associate in 2020.

During her virtual summer clerkship, she worked with attorneys in various practice areas, handled research and writing projects, participated in the day-to-day practice of law in the private sector, and observed hearings, depositions, mediations and arbitrations.

Prior to joining JSH, Jennifer served as a law clerk at a bankruptcy-focused firm, where she gained experience drafting motions and pleadings, confer letters, and settlement agreements, especially in the TCPA, FCRA, and FDCPA consumer protection litigation spaces. She also served as an extern for the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate, handling complex projects including drafting a total rewrite of Arizona Manual for Courts-Martial and proposed updates to Arizona Code of Military Justice, which was then given to the state legislature.

Earning her legal degree from Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, Jennifer was the recipient of the Sheila Carmody Academic Scholarship and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in her appellate advocacy, federal Indian law, and law science and technology classes. Jennifer earned simultaneous undergraduate degrees from the University of Arizona, summa cum laude, in dance and in political science, with a pre-law minor.
