Jon Barnes

Jon Barnes concentrates his practice on federal and state appeals in all types of civil litigation, including medical malpractice, governmental liability, employment, family law and torts. He also assists trial counsel in preserving the record for appeal, preparing dispositive and post-trial motions, and crafting proposed final judgments. Prior to joining JSH in 2011, Jon clerked at the Arizona Court of Appeals, where he discovered his passion for appellate practice.

Liz Gilbert

Liz Gilbert joined JSH in 2012, bringing significant litigation experience. In 22 years of practice, she has tried more than 75 cases to jury in both criminal and civil matters. She focuses her practice on medical malpractice defense, representing health care professionals and entities. In addition, Liz defends public entities facing claims of civil rights violations and discrimination. In her first 12 years practice, Liz worked for the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office where she prosecuted violent criminals, including large, high-profile gang/criminal syndicate cases involving joint state and federal task forces.

Alex LaCroix

Alex LaCroix joined JSH in 2012, and focuses his defense practice in matters involving premises liability, product liability, automotive liability, insurance coverage and bad faith, dram shop/social host liability, underinsured and uninsured motorist, trucking and transportation defense, and wrongful death and personal injury. Alex represents individuals, international businesses and some of the nation’s largest insurance companies.

Ken Moskow

Ken Moskow represents an array of companies and professionals in all types of liability claims, with particular emphasis on aviation defense, medical malpractice defense, wrongful death, and Section 1983 cases involving medical services. Ken is experienced in both state and federal trial courts, including trying cases to verdict. He proudly serves on the Board of Directors of the National Kidney Foundation of Arizona.

Clarice Spicker

Clarice Spicker focuses her practice on transportation defense, wrongful death and personal injury, premises liability, and products liability defense. She joined the firm in 2013 and is a member of the JSH Rapid Response Team, an experienced group of attorneys, experts and specialists available 24/7 to provide counsel and guidance when trucking or other transportation-related accidents occur. Before joining the firm, Clarice worked at the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services & Education and clerked for the Hon. Patricia A. Orozco in the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One and in the civil division of the Pima County Attorney’s Office.
