Camilla Porter represents healthcare professionals in complex litigation matters involving claims of medical malpractice, wrongful death and personal injury, and negligence. Her clients include physicians, hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and other healthcare professionals specializing in critical care, emergency medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, anesthesiology, pharmacology, internal medicine, behavioral health, and nursing.
Camilla brings over 14 years of experience defending large hospital networks in medical negligence and general liability actions. She previously worked at other insurance defense and medical malpractice defense firms, gaining experience in litigation strategy, mediation and settlement negotiations. In addition, she has extensive experience representing physicians and other health care professionals before the Arizona Medical Board, Arizona State Board of Nursing and Arizona State Board of Pharmacy.
Before pursuing her law degree, Camilla earned her nursing degree and worked for five years as an emergency room nurse. Camilla maintains her R.N. license today and utilizes her practical experience to best defend healthcare providers against medical malpractice claims.
Camilla’s commercial litigation experience includes the defense of insurance agencies, higher education institutions, manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, and other businesses. She has also counseled clients on antitrust compliance matters, including the premerger notification filing requirements of the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976.
Camilla is proficient in Spanish. She is a Founder of Kids for Kindness, a nonprofit organization that encourages young children to engage in community service. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her three children, outdoor cycling and playing the piano.
