Amy Groark is a registered nurse working with the firm’s medical liability and health care defense team. She provides critical support to the team with medical research, client and defense expert communication, Plaintiff analysis, deposition preparation, and procurement and analysis of all relevant medical records. Based on her findings, Amy is able to provide the defense team with early case evaluation and trial strategy.

Before joining JSH, Amy worked as a Registered Nurse at Phoenix Children’s Hospital’s Cancer Center for Blood Disorder Clinic and at Mayo Clinic as a member of the Hematology/Oncology Inpatient Team. She is a Registered Nurse in Arizona and California, and has earned Certificates in ECHO Oncology Fertility, Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) in Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy and Basic Life Support. Amy was one of twenty-four chosen in the country to complete her Nurse Residency program in the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Mayo Clinic after graduating from ASU’s School of Nursing. During nursing school, Amy was a member of the Golden Key International Honours Society, Association of periOperative Registered Nurses and American Nurses Association.

In addition to her impressive nursing career, Amy has substantial legal experience. She previously worked as an intellectual property paralegal with Karsten Manufacturing Corporation in Phoenix and as an in-house corporate paralegal for the largest seafood distributor, processor and fishery in the U.S. She also worked at Keller Rohrback, a 100-year-old Seattle-based law firm, as part of the Exxon-Valdez class action administration team. Amy gained significant administrative and human resources experience early in her professional career, specifically in the area of Medicaid for schools and education agencies.

In her free time, Amy enjoys spending time with her young family, traveling and being outdoors. She also volunteers with All-Star Kids Tutoring as the Volunteer Director and with CASA, the Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children.
